Productive Wednesday!
Progress Report: I finished the boys' Christmas jammies! They are in the dryer right now. All I had left to do was hem the pants and then do the buttonholes and buttons on both tops. I was really dreading that part. But I forgot my new machine has all these really cool functions. I had never used the automatic buttonhole feature before. And I had never used the button sewing feature. So while there was a bit of a learning curve, it all went well and I'm done!
Also, my new Star Shower FINALLY arrived today. I have it staked out in the yard, but of course, I can't tell much about it until it gets dark tonight. Every house in my little cul-de-sac has been decorated but me. I'm sure they all think I'm a Scrooge. I really don't care too much, but I guess I'll be glad to join the party tonight.
So, now on to decorating the tree. I'm only partially done, but I'll fini**** this afternoon. Don't know how much more decorating I'll try to do. Budder just cannot leave things alone. Sound familiar, Carla? Two year olds and breakables just do NOT mix! LOL!
Still haven't talked with Christie. She is giving me the silent treatment. I'm trying to just ignore it and enjoy my week off. Like Jeannie says, only a couple more weeks and we can put Christmas and December behind us.
Butch's brother and his wife have invited us to their house for Christmas Eve. I put them off, saying I have to talk to the girls first. It's really very sweet of them (well, her--Karen is a sweetheart), but I'm not sure I want to do that. I cry enough as it is. I cry every day. Part of me thinks it would be good to do something totally different. The other part of me clings to the comforts of home.
I also haven't started my wrapping, but it's only Wednesday. Surely I will be able to get started on it tomorrow. Plus I still have stuff arriving from Amazon daily. I did every last bit of my shopping on-line this year. I just didn't have the heart (or the physical well being) to go shopping at the malls and such.
Well, my break's over. Back on my head! LOL! Love you all!
Hello again Vickie....you are doing great....that machine of your can do everything but bake a cake!! You will learn new things all the time!! I can't wait to see picks of the boys in there new pajamas!!
I hope that new "star shower" works as well as they claim it does!!! I am sure your tree is beautiful too!! I wouldn't worry about how much you decorate. People will understand.
It is wonderful that you managed to complete all your shopping online. That is so much easier and no crowds to fight through!!
I wish I was there to wrap for you...I really do love wrapping packages!
Enjoy the rest of the evening....love you....hugs......connie d
Good afternoon Vickie and everyone....
Vickie...you sound a bit better already. I think Christie taking care of Christie is just what you needed. Staying away sure helps you. I am so happy about that!! I love you Vickie!!!!!
As for me...... we had sleet and snow during the night. Earlier it was sleeting again. Now it is snowing!! It does look pretty. I am glad I can stay home.
My cleaning fairy called in sick. She must be bad because she never misses. They said they had another lady, I have had her before, coming at about 11:30 or 11:45. I though I had the time wrong. I called them at 1:40 to let them know she wasn't here yet. They checked and called back. They set up the time but didn't call her about it. How dumb can they be!!! She can come, but not until tomorrow at 3:30. OKAY!!
I will check back later. Have a great day everyone!!
Prayers for our sweet OFF Family and their families.
Lots of love and many hugs to all....connie d
Hi Ladies,
I just got back from Sams club. What a mad house out there plus it's raining. I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere for a few days. As I get older I dislike shopping in the stores. I tried a new coffee creamer this week, pumpkin pie spice. It's pretty good. Today's my step mom birthday so I will call her in a little while. I did get on the scale this morning and I lost weight. I'm down to 181.2, my lowest weight I ever been. Maybe I will make my goal weight by the time I go to the Dr in February
Everyone have a good evening. Thoughts and prayers for everyone.
Love and hugs,
Yvonne
We just got back from the Outlets! Vinnie was PITA! So we had to leave!!! Now the little girl is taking a nap!!! We will try dinner tonight!!!
I called the Pre admission nurse today. Of course I got her voice mail!!! Hopefully she will call me back before I board the plane tomorrow!!! It seems like I sit and wait all the time!!!
Week on to the next thing on my agenda!!!

Vic and Ladies,
Today has been much better than yesterday. My cramping is getting better and now I only feel the cramps when I move certain ways. If I can stay off the steroids, my meds will not be changed again. YEAH....
So, tomorrow night is the next to the last party and let me tell you how happy I am about that. Starting the 24th, I will be off wor****il Jan 4th and I am so happy...I plan on staying in my PJS all day every single day. Yeah.
Vic, I love your tree. I think you did a wonderful job decorating.
I'm sitting her trying to post and DH is telling me to look at the online computer store and I said, but I am writing a message and he just keeps right on talking....sometimes I want to turn my hearing aides off and just look at him and smile.
I made potato soup and it sure smells good. I also put a pan of cornbread in the oven so in a bit, we will be eating soup and cornbread.
We are going to go buy a few more odds and ends and I made the kids all stockings from old pairs of jeans so I am filling those stockings with soaps and lotions...deodorant for the older kids...I got my granddaughter a manicure set (she is a girly girl) and a bunch of pretty nail polishes and bows and things for her hair. I am sure my daughter will have some complaint about that too but to be honest, I don't give a flying fig.
Okay, enough negativity...I am only looking at the good things and today I found out that I am under budget so I get to spend money and I love spending money...I scheduled a retreat for my tutors and bought them all jackets with our branding on it.
I hope you guys all have a great evening...Connie, stay safe...and Eileen, I'm glad you know who is you know where....
Catch you guys tomorrow.
